This standard recommended practice provides procedures for the ongoing control of image quality within a digital aperture card image management system. The objective is to provide a means of monitoring output image quality. Regular use of these recommended procedures should ensure continued maintenance of an established level of image quality.

The purpose of this standard is to provide a way of specifying and establishing procedures for quality control of images that are produced when aperture cards are scanned.  Images of test targets and charts that can be used within the procedures are included.
