Super-Student Spotlight: Lauren Ross

Lauren is the Manager of the EDRM program with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.

She has been working in the Information Management profession for 4 years.

Favorite musician:
Journey is my all-time favorite band, but I have many number twos.

Secret Super power:
I am very intuitive.

Was taking AIIM training self-directed or a work requirement?
A bit of both, actually. I wanted to move up in our organization and I am always trying to improve myself and my skills..

Has AIIM Training helped you on a work project or with the IIM challenges you experience at work?
AIIM training always helps with in my job. A coworker and I recently documented and wrote our legal hold processes and I sued course content from the eDiscovery course to help guide the process.

What are you looking for with training or other resources that would help you?
I would like to see some type of Library. I find I may be looking to improve a process or a procedure and just want a form or guidance of trusted sources of where to look. Google can be very broad and vast.

What suggestions do you have for AIIM that could improve our training?
I think the courses are wonderful. I would like to see a deeper dive on Information Governance and maybe a course around Information architecture.

Thank you Lauren for sharing your experiences with us.
