Bio

I am Product Manager for Internal Social at Ernst & Young. My job is to help EY continue to be a social pioneer. I trained and worked as a clinical psychologist before following my love of technology into market research and product management for the web. As a Product Manager, I helped launch one of the early Health 2.0 sites and worked to evangelize the web and social technologies for health applications. For 10 years, I've been actively involved with online communities, web properties, and social tools – developing, experimenting, beta-testing, moderating, nurturing, studying, and managing. My background in psychology and the social web offer a unique perspective on the comnplexities of the digital marketplace, product development and management, online behavior, user adoption, and evaluation. I am fascinated by the intersection of psychology and technology that happens in social applications. The early adopter in me likes to play with the the new toys; the psychologist in me enjoys observing how community forms (or doesn't), how users make reshape the tools to meet their own needs, and how our sense of "privacy" continues to change.
