Bio

Barclay T. Blair is a consultant to Fortune 500 companies, software and hardware vendors, and government institutions, and is an author, speaker, and internationally recognized authority on a broad range of policy, compliance, and management issues related to information governance and information technology. Barclay has led several high-profile consulting engagements at the world’s leading institutions to help them globally transform the way they manage information. Barclay is the award-winning author of the books Information Nation: Seven Keys to Information Management Compliance, Information Nation Warrior, and Privacy Nation. Barclay is currently writing Information Governance for Dummies for John Wiley & Sons. Barclay has written and edited dozens of additional publications. Barclay speaks internationally on information governance issues, and has instructed at George Washington University. He has presented to industry groups such as the American Counsel of Life Insurers, the American Bar Association, the BNA Litigation Forum, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), ARMA International, AIIM International, the Society of Quality Assurance, the Managing Electronic Records (MER) conference, and many others. Barclay is currently leading an information governance best practices project for the Financial Services Roundtable, and is frequently interviewed by media outlets on issues related to information governance.
