All organizations have business processes. All organizations also have business records: information brought forth by these processes. These records are indispensable for an organization’s collective memory, shared identity, accountability, effective enterprise and good governance. Many organizations don’t use their records to their full potential. They don’t manage their primary information efficiently, because they don’t fully recognize it as an asset.
As a records manager, I want to aid organizations struggling with their information governance policies, to develop a clear and practical view on the potential of their business records as an integral part of their core assets. A lean and efficient records system will allow you to cut down on storage space, to reduce your information's risk factor, and most importantly, to save time.
