Associate Professor

Bio

I am currently an Associate Professor at the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT. Don't let my academic credentials intimidate you. When people try to get my attention by saying Doctor, I look around wondering where the MD is in the room. After 35+ pragmatic years in business and management in the EDMS and KM professions, I returned to the academy at the age of 50 to get a PhD. I only recently graduated in 2007 from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, CANADA, (older and hopefully more sage-like). My goal now is to give back to the profession through my teaching of undergraduate and graduate learners, writing, and speaking engagements (when invited). I bring a unique view to Enterprise 2.0 (aka Knowledge Mobilization-KMb) because of my comprehensive career in senior corporate and consulting positions encompassing nearly four decades associated with Business Planning, Business Process Management, Enterprise Content Management, Administrative Renewal, Education, Knowledge Management, Management Consulting, Coaching, Mentoring, Electronic Records Management, and Institutional Memory Management. Since the 1980s I have been widely published in trade journals, including a watermark book on institutional memory management, Document Management for the Enterprise: Principles, Techniques, and Applications, (Wiley, 1996), which has been translated into Russian.
