Bio
Russell Stalters is Global Head, Information & Records Architecture for BP in Houston, TX responsible for developing the organization’s information management architecture, setting information management standards, driving adoption, and promoting best practices for the improved lifecycle management of corporate information. He joined BP as Global Director, Information & Records Management where he had global operations responsibility for information management as well as heading up BP’s Data Privacy and Protection program. Prior to joining BP he helped organizations envision, design, and implement document, records, content and business process management solutions that required compliance with global content and records management standards as a Chief Technology Officer. Over the years he has become a recognized subject matter expert for electronic records management and SharePoint 2007 based business solutions. He was the president of TrueArc, an electronic records management vendor which was acquired by Documentum in 2002. A retired U.S. Naval Officer, he served as the CIO and Information Management Director at the Naval Air Warfare Center, managing a staff of 900+ employees supporting over 15,000 customers. A regular industry speaker, noted author, and thought leader, he presents at national and international industry conferences.
