Reassigned from member service department manager to GVEA's Record Manager as our CEO and Board get serious about developing an Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). Our consultant is Bruce Miller of RIMtech. He has provided us with a way-forward roadmap after ranking GVEA at Level 1 (Sub-Standard)based on the GARP Model. We have a RIM committee already in place. To assure this project remains focused as one of GVEA's highest priorities, a designated, division-neutral Records Manager has been appointed to oversee all aspects of the RIM Project. I will be working closely with the Systems & Applications Development Manager, assigned Programmers,key Staff from each Division, legal counsel and consultants. There is much for GVEA to do with a steep learning curve. We're starting with some Aiim training to head our team in the right direction.
