In this part of the world, we are celebrating Thanksgiving and while I am enjoy a few days off; I am trying to avoid SharePoint, ECM and work in general. Still the spirit of the holiday (and the deadline for this blog entry) compels me to reflect a bit and consider those things I am thankful for, relative to my job. I’ll start with SharePoint itself, despite my periodic rants and frustrations, I am grateful to have this platform to work with. SharePoint may not be perfect, but it is pretty good and it is getting better with each revision. Because of the issues leading to those rants and frustrations, I am thankful for the members of the SharePoint community. Not only is the SharePoint community large, but it’s active and it’s online. Almost without exception, when I run into a problem, the solution lies in a properly crafted Internet search. If you have ever read any of my blogs, you know that I am thankful for AIIM – ‘nuff said.
