Packed full of ECM survey statistics, this annual keynote report forms the basis of AIIM's market intelligence reporting. We ask a broad range of questions, and unlike the reports that we do on more specific topics, we get a more even response. For example, in this survey we asked "Do you agree social networking will make a dramatic change to business life in the next few years." 59% agree or strongly agree. Because it's a general survey, this is likely to be a much more accurate response than in a survey that is specifically about E2.0 - and its quite a high result. Interestingly, it's not that age dependent: 66% for under-30's and 55% for over 45's.
We also asked, "Are any of the following barred for access to your staff from their desks during work hours?" Facebook (49% Yes), MSN/IM (47% Yes), You Tube (45%) and Twitter (43%). So obviously some people think that the major effect of E2.0 will be time-wasting, bandwith sapping or virus introduction!
We also once more asked that famous question, "Is it easier to locate “knowledge” on the Web than it is to find it on your internal systems?" and this time around 60% agreed compared to 71% in our dedicated E2.0 report. And for this question, there was only a couple of percent difference in the age groups.
