I am trying to build an estimation model to give our client an idea of how much it might cost to have our company migrate all their existing content into SharePoint. Has anyone had to estimate on a project like this? Any advice or models?
Thanks!
Trina

The question is too open. What is the source ECM.We are building sort of "ECM Hub" which can be used to migrate Lotus or any CMIS compliant ECM to Sharepoint 2010.The solution is still under development but can be used as part of a professional service.A this stage I can only propose a very cheap POC.Feel free to contact me at European open hours.Gad.Benisty@gmail.com+33613244452

I'm in the middle of this very thing with a client right now, and I'd love to be part of this conversation.
I suggest you talk to Becky Thomas from migration tools provider Active Navigation, Becky ran their energy and utility practice. Active Navigation has tools for e-discovery, term extraction and migration. She can give you insights on the price and cost for migration.
