President's Message
January 2012
Suzanne King, First in Flight Carolinas AIIM
2012 is off
to a great start! We are actively working to add new members and sponsors
to our Chapter. Sponsors allow us to increase the number of networking
opportunities while providing first class educational events. New
members introduce new ideas and enthusiasm and help grow our networking and peer
development base. One of the greatest benefits of AIIM membership is the
exposure to Subject Matter Experts in every facet of the Information Management
industry. Our diverse membership ensures we have access to the right
people, with the right information, at the right time.
We are increasing the
number of meetings this year and will have both Charlotte and Raleigh meetings
over a two day period. This will maximize access to our featured speakers
as well as better serve our Chapter members, prospective members and meeting
sponsors. We are not able to produce these great chapter events without
your continued commitment and attendance.
I encourage you, on behalf of our
Board, to become involved in AIIM as both a professional member and possibly a
Board member. We have several committees that could use your
expertise. It only takes about an hour a month to make a difference.
I also encourage you to invite your co-workers, customers, and friends with
involvement in the IT industry to check out AIIM (www.aiim.org) and become members this year.
The AIIM professional certification program is an excellent way to increase
your industry knowledge and gain certifications in the process. In this
economy of uncertainty, adding to our skill sets is not a luxury, it’s a
requirement. Certification program information is available on the
website or you can contact me directly with any questions (kings@cintas.com). The code to use when
signing up for a certification program is “First in Flight”.
I look forward
to hearing from you.
Suzanne
