The leadership of the Grand Canyon
Chapter of AIIM for 2011-2012 is dedicated to continuing our growth and
expanding our service to our members. We want to make our Chapter a vehicle for
education and professional interaction for all our members. As our industry
changes, we need to adapt Chapter activities to meet new demands. We urge you to
contribute your time and talents to enhance your information management career
and the service of the Chapter.
We welcome all our new and returning Board members, particularly those who
have stepped up to positions on the Executive Committee: Bill Plunkett (Program
Chair) from Iron Mountain, new member Brian Solmundson (Membership Chair) from
SCF Arizona, and Eleanor Addison (adding newsletter editor to her Communications
Chair role). We also welcome new members at large: Greg Fisher from Iron
Mountain and Rochel Velez from SCF Arizona. We look forward to drawing on their
talents and energy to make the Chapter stronger than ever in the coming year.
The Grand Canyon Chapter is here to offer added value to our members by
providing educational opportunities and networking at local events, where
successful practitioners come to share their experiences and to promote
awareness of the many advantages of AIIM membership and resources. Our
committees are a wonderful chance for you to meet and work with fellow
information professionals to improve and enhance your AIIM Grand Canyon Chapter
experience. The efforts of our committees are essential for the success of our
Chapter and we welcome your commitment no matter what level.
Over the next program year we have several interesting events planned and
truly hope you, as a member of AIIM, join us to make our Chapter an important
part in helping you and your company succeed. I want to personally thank you all
for your support, and to give special thanks to those who have stepped into
leadership roles as officers or members at large. Please feel free to contact
any one of us with questions, comments or suggestions.
Sincerely
Katherine Jonelis, President, 2011-2012
