Welcome to the 2010 Rocky Mountain AIIM User Group Website!
AIIM
is the community that provides education, research, and best practices to help
organizations find, control, and optimize their unstructured information.
We are committed to the advancement of Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
technologies and best practices by providing professional development and
networking opportunities to all AIIM members in our community.
The Board
of Directors is continuing to place a great significance on the increased
awareness of the Rocky Mountain AIIM chapter and the increase in our membership
and monthly meeting attendance. AIIM International is promoting October
28th as ‘Paperless Day’ and our chapter is working on how we can become involved
in the Denver metro area. Please watch for updates for this exciting
event!
In order to increase our membership, we will continue to offer the $75
membership fee which covers both the local and the international user
group. As you know, there is a wealth of information available on the
AIIM.org website for members including various toolkits and informative
articles. AIIM also offers on-going certified training classes along with
monthly informative webinars.
Mark Curry, our Vice President, has offered to have our monthly meetings at
Oppenheimer Funds, located in the DTC area. It is only 3 miles off of the
I-25 and Arapahoe intersection. This facility is a much more professional
setting and meets all of our needs for presentations and audio
capabilities. Also, the meetings will now be held on the first Wednesday
of the month to further encourage attendance. This information will be
reflected on the website and in the monthly meeting
announcements.
The planned events for the year cover the various
areas of Enterprise Content Management and have had considerable thought put
into the planning to fully support the AIIM directive to provide educational
events to our members.
The Board of Directors is excited and
looking forward to this year’s AIIM events and hope that you too will learn a
lot, network a lot, and enjoy the food!
Carol Mitchell,
President
