Chairman's Message
The ANSI/AIIM C27 Document Management Standards committee has a very important role. This committee is responsible for developing technical reports, guidelines, and standards for many of the various document management technologies as identified by the AIIM Standards Board. The
first two projects include the development of multiple technical reports
associated with optical storage technologeis and the development of the "Request
for Proposal: documentation. As our industry is moving quickly, it is important
for us to provide as much information, and guidance, to users and members of our
community. While it is important for vendors, product suppliers, and consultants
to participate in these efforts, it is equally important that we have "end-user"
representation to ensure that these (and subsequent) documents answer the
questions, and address the needs of the end-user organizations. Welcome to this
committee and we all look forward to working together on these very important
projects.
