Scope

Responsible for the various aspects of optical disk applications in information systems, including media error monitoring and reporting, error management, user requirements for interfaces, technical requirements, and other characteristics relative to the use of optical disk subsystems and different levels of standards for rewritable, write-once-read-many (WORM), read only memory (ROM), and combination optical disks.
