Open Text’s Records Management, (formerly Livelink ECM - Records Management) a component of the Open Text ECM suite, delivers records management functions and capabilities to provide full lifecycle document management and records management for the entire enterprise. The application manages the lifecycle of content objects by associating retention and disposition rules with each content asset. These business rules control if and when content can or must be deleted or archived on less costly storage media. The Records Management component can be used to file all corporate information assets, including those designates as records, according to the organizational policies, to meet regulatory compliance and reduce risks associated with audit and litigation. Records Management enables users to access records management functions from a standard Web browser. With a common interface Open Text provides access all forms of information, such as images, paper, word processing documents, spreadsheets and email. The application provides an automated system to remove the complexities of electronic records management, automate records management processes, and make these processes transparent to your end users.
