Event Description

ECM and GIS Mapping Integration
Integrating ECM Solutions for GeoSpatial Intelligence

To Be Rescheduled

Join us for an discussion of GIS mapping integration with enterprise content management (ECM). The growing need to interface documents, records, and other content based information with spatial/GIS information has created a range of commercial solutions available on the market today. These solutions will effectively tie electronic documents, records and scanned images with specific maps for efficient integrated retrieval. Speakers will address the topic of the current state of the industry and future directions.

Rick Prosser, with Community and Economic Development at the City of Mt Vernon WA, will discuss the use of Enterprise Content Management interfaced to the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environment from Environmental Spatial Resource Institute (ESRI). City of Mt Vernon WA currently employs ECM to manage construction permits, engineering drawings, correspondence and other design documents coordinated with spatial mapping.  Property documents are viewed directly with their corresponding parcel information in GIS. Learn about the latest features and benefits of the ESRI environment interfaced to Electronic Content Management. Note that a guided one hour tour of The Museum of Flight will precede the presentation for those interested and available.
