Recent research from AIIM highlights the benefits of pursuing a paper-free work environment. In "Winning the Paper Wars”, AIIM finds that, while 74 percent of survey respondents have business improvement campaigns underway that would benefit from paper-free processes through reduced operating costs and increased worker productivity, only 24 percent have a specific policy or plan to eliminate paper from their business. A big obstacle to adoption comes from misinformation about legal admissability of electronic signatures and documents.
Today, AIIM and partners around the globe seek to overcome the obstacles to automating and digitizing paper-intensive processes. In observance of the day, a series of events and activities are planned to provide organizations with practical tips for leveraging available tools, technologies and techniques.
