AIIM, the global community of information professionals announces the publication and release of ANSI/AIIM 25: “Assessing Trusted Systems for Compliance with Industry Standards and Best Practices.” This standard identifies the activities and operations an organization should perform in order to determine whether electronically stored information is maintained in a reliable and trustworthy system.
Electronic information in the form of documents, contracts, email, and other artifacts is at the heart of most organizations today. As such, organizations are subject to increasing legal and regulatory demands to ensure that their information is being created, captured and stored in a secure and trusted manner. They must be able to demonstrate that the information is accurate, authentic, and reliable.
“In the past few years we have seen an increase in the number of organizations under scrutiny for the integrity of the information they have stored in their electronic information systems,” said Robert Blatt, President of EID, Inc. and chair of the AIIM C27, Document Management Standards Committee. “Because organizations implement and maintain these systems in a variety of ways, ANSI 25 provides a consistent framework for assessing and evaluating the integrity against common accepted standards.”
The standard may be purchased through AIIM's website at http://www.aiim.org/Research-and-Publications/Standards/Catalog/3123.
