DocBridge Queue Processor to control every type of processing job boosts both productivity and process reliability in output management

Compart AG

[Böblingen, Germany, June 14, 2012] – Compart is expanding its product portfolio with DocBridge Queue Processor, a system that centrally controls different processing workflows in output management. The software bundles all jobs regardless of which channels or applications they come from, and prepares them for further processing while optimally utilizing resources.  DocBridge Queue Processor controls not only print jobs, but other types of jobs as well, such as conversion and archiving. Companies benefit from  greater productivity and process reliability in output management, faster troubleshooting thanks to the 360-degree view of all processes, and low process costs through better resource utilization.

In DocBridge Queue Processor, incoming jobs are decoupled from their respective output channels, such as the printer, e-mail, fax, Web portal, etc. Based on predefined configurations, the jobs are automatically assigned to the scheduled processing queue. If, for example, multiple PDF files from different applications need printing at the same time, DocBridge Queue Processor passes them on to the appropriate queue, which in turn sends them to available AFP printers. If all printers are busy, the file remains in the queue until an AFP printer is free. Every successfully completed job can be processed further. Here too, jobs are passed on automatically.

More jobs can be processed in parallel

The advantage of DocBridge Queue Processor: output devices with the same properties and features can be combined into a queue, allowing more jobs with identical content to be processed in parallel. Because of its seamless integration with Compart's DocBridge Mill software, DocBridge Queue Processor is also able to convert documents and data streams from different sources into any format needed. Tying in external systems for continued processing is easy too.

With this new tool, Compart provides companies of every size and industry with an efficient tool for improving quality and productivity in document processing – an area with enormous potential for savings. In particular, industries with traditionally high document volumes, such as finance, public utilities and the public sector, will profit.
