The Thomas C. Bagg Standards Award is given in memory of Thomas C. Bagg, Jr., who was an internationally recognized leader in the standards community. No more than one such award will be made in any one year, and it is not necessarily awarded annually. To be eligible to receive the Thomas C. Bagg Standards Award, each nominee must:
- Be a Professional Member of AIIM;
- Have been an active member of the AIIM Standards Program and other industry standards programs for five (5) or more years;
- Widely recognized contributions to the field of ECM standards;
- Influenced or assisted in the development of industry/user-critical standards;
- Conducted courses, lectures, or seminars;
- Authored articles and books.
No member of the Board of Directors can receive an Association award during his/her tenure on the Board (with the exception of the Best Practices Awards, which are voted on by the membership). Members of the Board cannot make nominations for the Awards.Nominations shall be made by an AIIM Professional Member, or an employee of any AIIM Trade or Advisory Trade Member. Recipients will be selected by the AIIM Awards Committee and approved by the Board of Directors.
To nominate an AIIM Professional Member, please send a letter of nomination detailing their lifetime contributions to our industry standards. Letters should include both the nominee's and nominator's full contact information. Letters of nomination should be emailed to Betsy Fanning, Director, Standards and Chapter Relations, at bfanning@aiim.org , with the header, "Standards Nomination" no later than January 22, 2013.
